PET POLICY

What is pet policy for owners and tenants?

The number and conditions for the ownership of dogs and cats shall be in compliance with the Cathedral City Municipal Code and any applicable codes or regulations of the County of Riverside.  Pets are allowed on the property owners’ own private property and in the Common Area only. Private property consists of all land and improvements within the property boundary of the owner’s lot. The Common Area within the gates consists of the streets and the Van Gogh / Da Vinci detention basin.

Pets must be on a leash at all times when in Common Area or outside of a fenced/walled back and side yard enclosure on the pet owner’s property. Pets may not run free on front yards.  Owners and tenants must clean up after their pets and should carry pet waste disposal bags when walking their pets in the community.

See the CCRs and Community Rules and Regulations for more information.

I've Lost (or Found) a Pet -- Now What?
In the event your pet goes missing or you find one you should post it on the Montage at Mission Hills NextDoor Website. If you are not a NextDoor user yet, set up an account.  Use the Lost and Found section of the Next-door site and your message will be carried to not only Montage users by NextDoor users in adjacent residential developments. Include a full description, photo if possible, and contact information.

You may also want to contact the Coachella Valley Animal Campus. Animal Control and Licensing for Cathedral City (and other participating cities in the valley) is a function of the Coachella Valley Animal Campus.  This new state-of-the-art facility, in Thousand Palms, was initiated by the Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) and Animal Samaritans Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
