Montage Election Results Archive
The following is an archive showing the certified results from the most recent Homeowners Association Board elections. These results reflect the votes community members cast on various matters, including the election of Board of Directors, IRS Revenue Ruling 70-604, and the approval of the previous year’s Annual Meeting minutes.
It is important to note that until 2022 all elections were held using mail-in, double envelope, and paper ballots. Ballots were counted at the Annual General Meeting. Beginning with the 2023 Election, legislation was passed allowing for “Elections by Acclamation” which, allowed Boards to forgo a paper ballot election for Board Members if the number of nominations/applications received for the Board was equal to or less than the number of Board positions open for election and all other election process requirements were met. Beginning in 2025, legislation was passed giving boards the option of allowing associations to conduct elections electronically (instead of paper ballot), subject to an additional set of provisions; Electronic elections are not allowable for Special Assessment type elections.

Elections are fundamental to maintaining a well-managed and transparent homeowners association. Board members make crucial financial, operational, and community-related decisions impacting property values and our neighborhood’s overall quality of life. Additionally, members’ past participation in voting on key financial measures, such as IRS Revenue Ruling 70-604, helps ensure proper tax treatment of excess operating funds. Association members are strongly encouraged to engage with board candidates and to participate in annual elections.
